Window tint solves two different problems depending on why you're getting it — cabin heat and UV exposure, or a darker aesthetic. Texas has legal tint-limit rules that apply regardless of which one you're after, and we'll walk through both at your consultation.
We install XPEL window tint — the same brand we use for our clear and stealth PPF and ceramic coatings, so your whole protection package comes from one trusted manufacturer.
Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 5 inches of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front driver/passenger windows must allow at least 25% visible light transmission under current Texas law.
Back seat side windows and the rear window have more flexibility, especially with dual side mirrors installed.
Texas allows darker tint with a medical exception permit — we can walk through what documentation that requires.
Tint laws are subject to change and enforcement can vary — we confirm current limits with you before any install, and won't put on a shade that isn't road-legal.
Gloss tint is the traditional, most common finish — subtle, factory-look darkening. Matte/satin tint has a slightly diffused, non-reflective look that reads as more custom or aggressive. Performance (heat rejection, UV protection) can be identical between the two — the difference is purely aesthetic unless you're comparing different film grades.
No — window tint and ceramic paint coating are unrelated (tint is on the glass, ceramic coating is on the paint). Many clients get both in the same visit since they solve different comfort/protection problems.
Depends on vehicle size and film selected — we'll confirm an estimated timeline at your consultation along with cure-time care instructions.
